Your City Council continues to deliver a wide range of excellent services and help to many, while also grappling with a deep financial crisis, given rising prices and rising demand for homelessness help.
We have made good progress with investment in our future. Working with partners we are helping with digital skills and businesses, improving infrastructure, investing in better housing and new public spaces and looking after those most in need. Colchester had a great year of events to celebrate modern city status, showing what we can achieve working with others.
Over the next three years, our overriding priority will be to change how Colchester City Council delivers. Ensuring we are fit for the future. Making sure our budget balances, unlike some councils, and that we live within our means. But remaining ambitious, to make sure Colchester remains such a good place to live, work or visit.
