The amount of Council Tax you are due to pay depends on the valuation band your property falls within. Different amounts are due for each Council Tax band (ranging from A-H), based on property valuations.

Colchester City Council does not decide how properties are valued for Council Tax bands. The government's Valuation Office Agency (VOA) assesses properties to ensure that they are in the correct Council Tax band.
