The events allow you to explore our countryside sites with the rangers and take part in den building, pond dipping, bat spotting and more.
You can also find self-led family trails during the school holidays.

May Half Term Pond Dipping – High Woods Country Park
Join the Education Rangers for a pond dipping session at High Woods Country Park. Discover what creatures hide under the surface and become a pond dipping expert. Meet outside the Visitor Centre.

May Half Term Pond Dipping and Woodland Crafts drop-in session – Salary Brook, Greenstead
Join the Rangers for this free drop-in pond dipping session at Salary Brook and discover what creatures hide under the surface. Once you’ve explored the pond, why not make your own pencil or spinner, all from natural materials. Stay for as long, or as little, as you like.
Location: Salary Brook, Greenstead – Meet at the pond near the Buffett Way play area

Book pond dipping
May Half Term Wild Woodland fun - High Woods Country Park (morning and afternoon sessions)
Enjoy marshmallow roasting, crafting and woodland games amongst the trees. Make the most of the great outdoors! Meet outside the Visitor Centre.
