Colchester’s iconic Grade I listed Trinity Church and its beloved churchyard, is undergoing a remarkable transformation. Restoring and preserving rich heritage while creating a vibrant community space.
Trinity Square
The Trinity Square project focuses on reviving the historical and cultural heart of the churchyard. The vibrant public space will attract visitors and foster a sense of unity within our community. The transformation has been described by local businesses as “an oasis of greenery in the heart of Colchester!” With a £600,000 government grant, the project is set to start by Spring 2026 to Spring 2027.
Holy Trinity Church
Holy Trinity Church is on a transformative journey to restore and adapt its iconic church and tower, Colchester’s oldest standing structure. Positioned to become a bustling and welcoming community hub, this project has secured essential funding, including a substantial £500,000 government grant. Anticipated to cost around £4.3 million, the project is set to start by Spring 2026.
