While our long-term aspiration remains to transform Colchester’s vibrant indie streets, Sir Isaac’s Walk and Short Wyre Street, with modern kerbless street designs, we are currently focusing on ensuring the area remains safe and accessible.
We have made pavements repairs to improve the condition of the roads and walkways, enhancing safety for all pedestrians.
Our vision for a more pedestrian-friendly, aesthetically pleasing space continues to be an ambition for the future, with work on the proposed transformation not expected to begin until (at the earliest) next decade.
