These are the slides from Colchester City Council’s Residents’ Panel Workshop held on Monday 28th April 2025 at Colchester Town Hall. Members of the Residents' Panel were invited to an informal meeting with our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Pam Donnelly. The focus of this session was the Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and Devolution proposals, which are expected to significantly change how services are delivered in Colchester and across Essex. This reorganisation represents a major shift away from the current two-tier council system and toward more streamlined, locally accountable governance.
